Summary of Primary Function

This position provides leadership, day-to-day management and oversight of Harness Health Partners’ sales, implementation and business support services.  Assists the President of Harness Health Partners with implementation of the organization’s strategic plan.  Leads new growth and service development, client implementation and process improvement strategies. Provides direct oversight of sales and organizational development, to ensure effective services are presented to and provided to clients.  Solicits and reinforces constructive and professional relationships within the Bon Secours Mercy Health organization, external clients and companies, vendors, etc. with which the organization partners and/or sub-contracts with, for the provision of quality health care services.  Develops and oversees the growth of the sales’ organization, and supports the growth of the relationship and account managers.

Essential Functions:

  • In conjunction with the President and management team implements and refines the mission, vision and values of the organization, including high quality employer and employee focused health care.

  • Lead, in partnership with the President and management team, in new health care program development for employers, ensuring participatory decision making and appropriate design and implementation.

  • Responsible for collaboratively developing the sales, growth and strategic plans and coordinating corresponding budgets with the Director of D2E, reflecting the volume, revenues, expenses, staffing and capital needs of the initiative.

  • Participates in the development of long-range strategic plans, its objectives and associated organizational structure.

  • Responsible for ensuring program and corporate compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, as well as with relevant external regulatory bodies and other professional review and standards’ boards.

  • Presents, facilitates and leads primary client onboarding and process improvement events using methods of culture-appropriate team building, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and project leadership.

  • Analyzes, recommends and supports practices seeking to improve performance on quality measures to engage in work redesign, changes in organization systems, policies and procedures, and quality improvement processes within Harness Health Partners and client organizations.

  • Develops and collaboratively leads planned improvements to assure timely action, appropriate management support, and achievement of expected benefits, which are reflected in on employer facing and internal reports. Uses appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements.

  • Coordinates with related departments and functions internal to BSMH, to assure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement activities.

  • Ensures technology, reporting systems and processes allow for optimal customer service and process improvement.

  • Develops strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency while ensuring safe and timely service.

  • Creatively structures work and develops methods to assign and hold accountable team members for various projects and employer- based initiatives.

  • Ensures sales territory expansion, and strategically guides the placement of sales staff beyond and including current BSMH footprint.

Education Qualifications:

Required Minimum Education:

4 year/ Bachelors Degree


Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field required

Preferred Education:

Graduate Degree (Masters)

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Years and Type of Experience

Minimum of 10 years  middle and upper management experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

Experience in managing sales, information technology or business back-office teams a plus.
