Nursing Supervisor- Inpatient Unit- Perrysburg Hospital
Summary:
The Shift Nurse Supervisor is responsible for administration and operational activities on weekends, evening and night shifts. The supervisor serves as a clinical resource to direct care staff. Assumes responsibility and authority as delegated by the Chief Nurse Officer/Sr. Chief Nurse Officer. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, Bachelors degree in nursing business or health-related field preferred or actively pursuing degree.
Experience: Five years of acute care nursing experience preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience desired.
Knowledge and Abilities: Interpersonal skills sufficient to provide effective leadership. Effective problem resolution capabilities; able to be decisive and deal equitable in all situations. Able to make effective use of resources.
Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement: Current Ohio RN Licensure; Basic Life Support Certification..

Reads and interprets written/oral instructions
Sets and meets deadlines, prioritizes work and works independently
Identifies and understands issues and problems
Examines data and draws logical conclusions demonstrating the ability to apply high levels of critical thinking and understanding
Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of oral or written communications
Makes decisions which have significant impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside immediate work unit
Organize thoughts and ideas into understand terminology
Must be flexible and able to adapt to change

Hours:
Afternoons/Evenings with flexibility to other shifts and weekends as needed
ICU experience required, 5 years preferred
